And now we go back to a time before the loudness wars, to the time of Moog synthesizers and funky guitar rhythms. I have this album on vinyl. It’s fantastic. Old music like this just pops in ways that are unreal on a good system.

You’re good people, Jake.
I have a receiver that was my grandfather’s and some nice speakers my parents were not putting to use. With my not-fancy record player, the combo makes 30 year old vinyl sound better than anything that comes out now.

My girlfriend’s family might be getting rid of one of their old setups. Three-way Pioneer floor speakers, 24-band stereo equalizer, some receiver I don’t remember the brand of... hnnnnngggggggggg.
